About Darin Kapanjie
Darin Kapanjie is an Associate Professor of Statistical Science Development at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Here, Darin teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, focusing on classes in applied calculus, statistics and business analytics. He has recorded 100+ ADA compliant, mobile-friendly micro-video lectures, and he teaches with a focus on applications, working with live data and data visualization. Darin is research active and considered Scholarly Academic by AASB. He also participates in a variety of activities at Temple University and in the surrounding community.
Darin is also a proud author – along with Nathan Ritchey, Katharine Fischer and Pearson – of the first ever Interactive Applied Calculus “textbook”. Instead of introducing concepts all at once on a static, printed page, this unique online product weaves short video snippets along with MyLab Math problems for a “watch a little, do a little” approach.
In addition to his work in higher education, Darin is passionate about business and entrepreneurship, having built the Online MBA program at Temple University’s Fox School of Business – from the ground up – which now serves over 600 students. Between 2008-2018, Darin served as the Academic Director for the Online MBA program at Fox School of Business, providing strategic leadership and academic support to faculty, staff and students alike. Darin’s leadership experience continues as he was the Managing Director of the Fox Online & Digital Learning Team from 2010-2018, Founder and Strategic Leader for the Online MBA Consortium (where he assembled the top 10 online MBA program leaders to build a community of excellence for the online MBA market), Chair of Online Learning Affinity for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Chair of Executive Committee for Computer and Information Technology, Faculty Coordinator for Online Initiatives & Honors Tablet Laptop Program and Core Course Coordinator for the Statistical Science Department.
